THE MICHAEL KELLY MOD SHOP

EQUIPPED WITH

Seymour Duncan Pickups

Probably the best known pickup company in the world, Seymour Duncan is a leader. They earn that position daily with great pickups. We have enjoyed teaming with them to find just the right Duncans for our model.

Mod Shop 60 S2 Duncan

The Mod Shop 60 S2 Duncan is the latest adaptation of our classic 1960's designs. We heard you when you asked for a 1960 style guitar with dual humbuckers and took it one step further by adding two Seymour Duncan 59's. The bridge pickup is a full sounding, PAF humbucker with a scooped mid, full bottom and articulate treble attack. The neck pickup has clear and bright attack, sweet sustain, a full low end, boosted high end and scooped mids that provide open, smooth sounds great for clean tones and leads.
We have also equipped these guitars with the 211 Mod wiring modification that gives you 11 tones for added versatility. There is a 5 way selector switch, mini toggle switch and a push/pull volume knob that allows you to achieve the 11 different tones depending on the positions of each. The push/pull volume knob splits the coils on the pickups selected, and the mini toggle switch allows you to bring in or take additional coils on either the bridge or neck pickups in positions 1 thru 3 of the 5 way selector switch.

The Swamp Ash body is capped with either Quilted Maple in Black Wash, or beautiful Striped Ebony. The body also comes equipped with our arm and belly cuts to make this guitar super comfortable to play. Both come with Roasted Maple necks, and the Black Wash has a Roasted Maple fretboard while the Striped Ebony boasts a Pau Ferro Fretboard.

MODERN-C

Comfort without sacrifice, that is how you might describe our Modern-C shape. The size is what many would call medium to medium-thin and the shape is a really smooth and comfortable round shape. The thin profile makes it faster than the typical vintage neck, while the carefully contoured C-shape makes it comfortable for extended playing.
