Warranty terms vary from country to country and are managed by the Michael Kelly Distributor in each market. For information about warranty coverage or repairs of instruments purchased outside the USA, contact the Michael Kelly dealer where the instrument was purchased.

Michael Kelly Limited Lifetime Warranty – Canada
Good only on instruments purchased after May 1, 2015
All Michael Kelly Guitar instruments are backed by a warranty. Instruments purchased in Canada after May 1, 2015 from Michael Kelly directly or one of a few authorized Showroom dealers (defined on MichaelKellyGuitars.com as authorized dealers) are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Michael Kelly warrants solely to the original purchaser.
Michael Kelly warrants that the instrument purchased shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for as long as the instrument is owned by the original purchaser, and until the ownership of the instrument is transferred to another, subject to the limitations described below in this agreement. This warranty is not transferable under any circumstances, and applies to the original owner only, provided the product is purchased as NEW from an authorized Michael Kelly dealer.
That stated warranty is only valid in the country from which your NEW Michael Kelly branded instrument was purchased. This warranty is specifically limited to products purchased in Canada and only purchased after May 1, 2015 from a designated dealer authorized by Michael Kelly Guitars.
In order to validate your warranty, you must register your instrument using the online warranty registration within thirty (30) days at www.MichaelKellyGuitars.com/register. You also must retain your original sales receipt as proof of purchase. In the unlikely event of a warranty claim you will be required to provide a copy of this.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
- Any instrument that was not purchased from Michael Kelly Guitars directly or an authorized Michael Kelly Showcase dealer as defined on the Michael Kelly website.
- Any instrument on which the serial number has been removed or altered.
- Any instrument that has been serviced by unauthorized persons.
- Any instrument that has been modified or customized after shipment from Michael Kelly Guitars
- Any instrument which has not been registered at the factory within one month of purchase, or whose warranty registration includes false or incomplete information.
- Any instrument that has been damaged due to an accident, negligence or misuse.
- Any instrument that has been subjected to extremes of humidity and temperature.
- Any shipping damage of any kind.
- Any normal “wear and tear” on any serviceable part of the instrument, including electronic controls and switches, jacks, worn frets, plated surfaces, tuning machines, scratches in pick guards or plastic parts, saddles and nuts.
- Normal paint wear and tear including damages, discoloration, and paint shrinkage of the instrument finish for any reason. Also defects in finishes such as cracks, or warping of wood due to changes in temperature or humidity, exposure to sun, fire, moisture, body salts and acids, other chemicals or non-industry approved polishes.
- Any subjective issues such as “tone".
- Any factory installed electronics and hardware after two years from the original date of purchase.
- Gold plating is not covered by warranty.
- Regular maintenance of the instrument, including truss rod adjustments, string changes, set-up, action adjustment and intonation settings.
- Freight charges to Michael Kelly for warranty repairs.
Before returning any instrument to Michael Kelly Guitars you must obtain a Return Authorization number from Michael Kelly Guitars. This can be arranged by emailing [email protected]. In the email please include your name, address, phone number, model number, serial number and reason for returning the instrument. This Return Authorization number must be clearly marked on the box for any instrument returned for a warranty repair or review. If a package arrives without a number or can’t be read it will be refused and returned to the shipper at the shipper’s expense.
Once the return arrives to the Michael Kelly support address, a determination will be made whether the defect is covered under the terms of the warranty. If the repair is covered under the terms of the warranty, it will be repaired at no cost to the original purchaser including return shipping. If the repair is not covered under warranty we will review if we can make the repair and if so an estimate will be provided for the repair cost. The repair will be undertaken following the approval and payment of the repair estimate.
Michael Kelly Guitar makes the decision on how to best repair or manage each warranty claim that is found to be within the terms of the warranty. Warranty repairs will be done using materials and parts regularly utilized or available at the time of each repair.
The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the instrument to Michael Kelly Guitars. It is your responsibility to carefully pack your instrument and fully insure it. Michael Kelly Guitars takes no responsibility for shipping damage or loss. Michael Kelly Guitars will pay the return shipping after we make a repair on an instrument found to be covered by warranty. It will be shipped to the return address provided at the time that the Return Authorization is prepared.
MICHAEL KELLY GUITARS MAKES NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, EXCEEDING THE SPECIFIC PROVISIONS OF THIS WARRANTY ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED AND EXCLUDED FROM THIS WARRANTY.
