The Great 8 electronics mod is one of our most demanded mods. With this mod we double the sonic spectrum of our two-humbucker instruments. You still have the full powered tone of each humbucker and the traditional settings to give you neck, bridge or both. With Great 8 we add two push-pull switches to the volume knobs, that when pulled up one coil of the humbucker is disengaged giving you a cleaner single coil tone. You can control each pickup separately, maximizing your options. What can you do with 8 sonic options?
The Patriot Enlightened is the lightweight version of our Patriot. Created as part of the Enlightened Collection, this is the outcome of two years of development as we committed to developing an ultralight guitar without the normal compromises. This one is one of the first proto-types and the only one made with this exact combination of traditional mahogany with the other Enlightened features. It weighs under 7 pounds.
The pickups on the Patriot Enlightened are based on the popular Rockfield® SWC pickups, but they have been voiced specifically for the Enlightened models, working perfectly with the new properties of the wood and construction of this guitar. We added our Great 8 Mod, allowing you to go from humbucker to single coil tone using the two provided push-pull pots.
