Club Custom 4 String
It is all about sound!! That is the key component to this amazing acoustic bass model. We start with a solid cedar top. Sonically this is a big upgrade for acoustic bass and the tone that most players are seeking. It provides a more full tone with superior projection. Michael Kelly takes tone up another notch by hand scalloping the bracing to really open up the tone. We use a unique Burled Ash wood for the back and sides which looks as great as it sounds. Like all MK acoustic basses it has a 34" scale length for perfect string tension and tone. The other reason that the Club Custom is all about sound is that it features the Fishman MKAB acoustic bass optimized amplification system. Developed exclusively for Michael Kelly by Fishman this is one of the first pre-amps made specifically for acoustic bass. While almost any other acoustic bass on the market has a pre-amp made for a guitar, this is the amplification made for bass players. The Club Custom is available in 4 and 5 string.
