The Legacy Custom Two was introduced in April of 2001. It was the first custom model of its kind for Michael Kelly. Less than 100 were produced in each of the 4 color options. It has grown to be known as the Butterfly by many players referencing the butterfly accent that was present in the inlay.
The Legacy Dragonfly Custom was the hottest mandolin in the industry during 2002. Introduced in February it was an instant success. With only 10 produced in each color per month the waiting period averaged over 4 months. It was worth the wait delivering a great sounding mandolin, with a unique appearance for a very reasonable price.
The Legacy Firefly is the newest custom mandolin model. We will only produce 15 of each per color each month. With many upgrades for sound and performance it is destined to be another hard to get MK legend. The Firefly is the first custom model to feature a custom inlay extending up to the headstock, giving it a unique and ornate appearance.
